Does anyone else remember this movie? No one I know does… I swear I’d watch over and over again every summer until my eyes bled. Now I can’t watch LaserDiscs anymore.
It was kinda scary tho.

this was one of my favourite movies when i was little! my mum still has it (since she has a vhs player still) and my little sister watched it until she got too old as well :]

me and my sister loved / were fucking scared of this movie.

#7 Anastasia; Don’t mock me.  This is a great movie, and if you’ve seen it, you know that.  Perhaps its classic animation isn’t the absolute greatest as movies go (duh, Les Triplettes de Belleville or Howl’s Moving Castle or any Miyazaki for that matter), or even the best children’s animated movie (I’d probably give that one to 101 dalmations, but I think I’d need a review of traditional kids movie to be sure) animation-wise.  However, the movie has a certain charm.  Perhaps it’s its sillily blatant anti-communist propaganda (Such as heroification of the Russian Czar etc)(And other than that many things are highly inaccurate, although that’s beside the point) that makes the movie easy to mock and narrate ridiculously (communism in a bottle!).  Or perhaps it’s the adorable love story overseen by the even more lovably adorable Vladimir.  Or maybe it’s Bartok (I learned the phrase may day from him as a kid!) the awesome bat.  Actually, I’ll admit it, I know what it is.  It’s the soundtrack (in addition to all these things) that really makes this movie, and what a wonderful soundtrack it is.  Once upon a december = brilliance.  By the way, this paragraph is really long in order to try convince you that Anastasia is a reasonable film to love.  It is.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the songs, the movie, period. I have this, too.
I have like…over 100 Disney VHS. Kinda makes me sad. I don’t really want to spend all the money to buy DVD, and it costs about the same to convert them :/

If I get to 100, then I think I should be guaranteed at least one of them coming true.

I first liked this, but now am reblogging for #7.

Theresa Andersson was just the musical guest on Conan, and her entire perfomance she was dancing around barefoot and I thought, “yea, that’s a pretty good representation of my life.”  Then Carson came on and I punched myself in the face.
